Absolute No List

I did an exercise called the "absolute no list" from Cheryl Richardson's book The Art of Extreme Self Care.  Here's my list.   What's on your list?

I no longer;

-engage in meaningless conversation

-overschedule myself or my kids

-commit to anything unless it feels right

-eat meat at every meal

-keep anything in my home that i don't love or need

-end my day without meditating

-rush through life

-do something because I should

-put myself at the bottom of the priority list

-ignore my gut feelings or intuitions

-participate in activities that drain me

-try to be "super mom"

-eat when I'm not hungry

-do house chores after 9pm

-yell at my kids (working on...)

Here's my list...

I say no to:

-anything that feels like a "should" or does not feel good

-being last minute / in a hurry

-feeling stressed about unimportant things

-buying clothes/things that I don't absolutely love

-get sucked into gossiping or negative talk

-yelling at the kids

-eating "empty" foods

-letting events/people guide my life  (I am the creator )

-ignoring my gut feelings (intutions)

** I really get inspired reading this list. I suggest we turn these into positive affirmations. I also need to find a space to have these so that I can be reminded of them. They are not yet consistently part of my life. I'm getting there :-)
