2010 Goals

It's that time when we start thinking of our new year's resolutions or goals.  Everyone is asking and talking about their resolutions for 2010.  I usually base my goals around the wheel of life.  If you haven't heard of the Wheel of Life,  it's a wheel that represents eight different areas of your life.  The areas are:

1)Family/Friends

2)Significant other/Spouse

3)Fun & Recreation

4)Health

5)Money

6)Personal Growth

7)Physical Environment

8)Career

Some people like to have many goals and will set one or two goals in every area.  I tried to set goals in all areas of the wheel of life but found it too overwhelming.  I eventually got discouraged and gave up on all my goals.  I now perfer to set a few goals for the year and stay connected to just those ones.  It works for me.

10 Minutes a Day

This morning on Breakfast TV & City Line a fitness trainer talked about exercising any way you can.  He says the #1 excuse for not exercising is "I have no time".  Not true.  He says 10 minutes a day is all you need.  Everyone has 10 minutes a day!! Take a 5 minute break at work and do a set of squats, pushups on your desk and lunges.  Later on in the day take another break and do it again.  When you get home do it again or during commerical breaks while watching tv.  The point here is you can find the time if it's only 5 minutes.  Get your exercise by doing a little bit a few times a day!!

Great idea for busy moms on the go.  Now we really have no excuse!!!
